Angiotech continues to offer Sharpoint™ and LOOK™ branded sutures, both of which are known throughout the industry for superior performance.

Dental

Angiotech's LOOK™ brand sutures provide the dental market with a wide range of sutures for General, Oral, and Periodontal surgeons. These products are offered in a variety of absorbable and non-absorbable materials, attached to needles possessing superior sharpness, penetration and strength characteristics.

LOOK™ sutures are ideal for connective tissue graft and periodontal flap procedures because these products provide ease of penetration and excellent bite in delicate tissue. With optimal ductile strength, the LOOK™ brand product needles are resistant to breakage, yet malleable enough for good maneuverability in tight areas.

Microsurgery

M.E.T.™ microsurgical needles utilize Infinite Edge™ technology, a proprietary process that ensures incision products are consistently sharp and dimensionally true. The unique swage channel construction and flat pressed needle body together, provide the surgeon with the control required for a variety of microsurgical procedures.

As part of our commitment to medical training, we offer a variety of hands-on training tools to allow surgeons to practice and develop their microsurgical techniques.

Microsutures:

Sutures using M.E.T. needles are available in diameters of 70, 100 and 140 microns
Needles available in curvatures of 1/4", 3/8", and 1/2" circle
Traditional taper point needles available in diameters of 50, 70, 100, and 140 microns

Training materials:

Non-sterile sutures are available with the M.E.T.™ needle and taper point needles
Microsurgery training manual and laboratory support products allow the novice to develop technical competence in a laboratory setting
PracticePak™ training product allows surgeons to practice suturing techniques
PracticeRat™ training product mimics the properties of a rat's femoral vessels and sciatic nerve
